There is plenty of diving off the Sunshine Coast. The best Dive sites are at Mooloolaba and Noosa Heads, which include Wolf Rock, Inner Gneering, Outer Gneerings, Murphy's Reef and Mudjimba Island.

Scuba Diving

You can expect to see some of the following: marine life, the odd shipwreck and some sandstone formations covered with hard and soft corals, numerous ledges, caves, pinnacles and gutters to explore. Because of the wonderful weather on the Sunshine Coast you can have many happy hours diving in the pristine blue water.

Local divers have really good safety records . You can expect to see crayfish, sea urchins, anemones, bat fish, mackerel, starfish, sea whips, gorgonians, turtles, stingrays, nudibranches, spanish dancers, cowries, coral trout, small groper and bottom dwelling sharks such as wobbegongs while you are on a dive.

Diving on the Sunshine Coast is good and includes the HMAS Brisbane which was sunk specifically for divers to use. Many dive companies operate out of the Sunshine Coast and offer all the dive services and training you need.

HMAS Brisbane Conservation Park
An underwater conservation park created by the sinking of the HMAS Brisbane in 2005. The park is 4.2 nauticalmiles from the coast and is open for divers on offiiclai tgrips operted by licnesed dive boat operators.
