Mt Tinbeerwah

Sunshine Coast hotels

The 265m-high mountain, a volcanic plug remaining from volcanic activity millions of years ago, is situated in the Tewantin State Forest between Noosa and Cooroy. Tewantin State Forest is just west of Noosa and Tewantin, along the Cooroy-Noosa Road. To reach Tinbeerwah Lookout, turn off the road and follow the signs to the carpark.

The rainforest, with eucalypts, she-oaks, bloodwood trees and wallum remnants, is perfect for a picnic, with picnic tables, barbecues and drinking water provided at the Wooroi day-use area.

After your picnic, take a walk to the Mt Tinbeerwah lookout for spectacular 360-degree views over lakes, the coast and hinterland forests.

The walk is easy enough for the not-so-fit and there is a wheelchair lookout as well.
